Crimson’s Creative Challenge #279

Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE

Here are some suggestions:

  • An answering photo
  • A cartoon
  • A joke
  • A caption
  • An anecdote
  • A short story (flash fiction)
  • A poem
  • A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
  • An essay
  • A song—the lyrics or the performance

You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:

  • Your creative offering is indeed yours
  • Your writing is kept to 150 words or less

If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it.

Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN

Hello little boy and girl! What are your names? Hansel and Greatly you say? How nice. Come and have tea with me. Am I a witch you ask? Not at all. Come dears!

  2. Brian Bixby's avatar Brian Bixby says:

It had been over two hundred years ago, back in 1817, when she was four, she remembered playing in the woods behind the house. The previous year had been miserable, but that summer the sun was bright, the forest was luxurious, and she had a best friend with whom she gamboled and cavorted among the trees.

About every twenty years or so, she’d come back to visit. No point in going inside; her parents were long dead and she’d rather forget them. No, she’d visit the geography of her childhood, small of scale now but her world back then. A rock on which she’d sat, a pool still inhabited by ducks, the tree Jane climbed, those were her memories, her treasures. At the last, she’d dig up the farthing they had buried, and then bury it anew. And then she was gone.
