Photos taken of fungi found on our walk to Fritton Woods, 17th November 2023, Part 2! Enjoy.
I’ve tried to group these according to shared colour
An odd one, mushroom-coloured…
Little mushroom-coloured fungi!
Two-toned, chocolate and grey…
Looks blue but could be purple (see that little one tucked underneath)…
Pink…
And some fungi that don’t look like mushrooms!
That’s all for now, folks. I do hope I’ve satisfied your visual hunger!

Beautiful.

Thank you, Frank. Alas, the season is coming to an end. While there will still be fungi around, there won’t be enough to devote a regular feature to them. Still, there’s probably enough to last till Christmas 🙂

What a great selection! And that fungi just before your comment of some fungi not looking like mushrooms makes me think of a type of sponge or a puffer fish, belonging in the sea. Those yellow ones are cool, too.

Puff is the word. It’s a puff ball. You can’t see in this shot, but it sits on a short stalk. This year they’ve been most prolific!

I thought so (the name) – not that I see any but glad you share them 🙂
