Strange to see a willowy woman amongst the ruins
And dressed in what looks like wedding-wear
A photo shoot maybe?
Ah, now a young man appears
Not for a wedding dressed
Perhaps it’s his Sunday Best?
And a priest…is that a priest?
I suppose next there’ll be a wedding feast!
But where are the photographers?
I cannot see.
I cannot see
The vision’s fading
For vision it is
No reality this

Visions are not always clear in their message, are they?
I like this, Crispina.

It’s kinda like based in truth. My however-many grandfather supposedly married here to a local girl shortly around 1830. However, the church was already a ruin by then.
Answer? Local girl lived in its parish, marriage was recorded in the parish register. But they married in the “church next-door”!

Thank you, Sadje. It’s rooted in truth in as much as an ancestor is recorded in parish register as marrying here, yet he couldn’t have married here cos it was already a ruin. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Yea, took some unravelling. The marriage was recorded in his parish register, yet he was married in the neighbouring parish church
