As the title says, photos of the flowers that paint my garden in glorious colours this late October. Hope you like them as much as I do (this is my first full year with the garden!)
These chrysanthemums were bought last year as indoor pot plants but once they’d finished flowering I planted them out. Delighted to see not only did they survive the winter, and our drought, but now they’re flowering in such profusion
The rose bush, resident when I moved in, is very old, but she has put forth such a crop of blooms this summer, and still she has buds waiting to unfurl
Marigold in the sun…looks like the sun itself has taken residence here
More sunny flowers…
As you might guess, I’m pleased with my garden. It has far exceeded my plans!
And so you should be. What beautiful blooms! All that hard work you put in has paid off handsomely.

Thank you, Dale. And at moment the lawn needs cutting, but I won’t do it while it’s wet. And it seems to be perpetually wet! Looking as shaggy as a hippy’s hairdo 🙂

Oh, I hear you. No bueno to cut wet lawn. That is too funny!

I cut it this morning, in between downpours. It had to be done

Oh dear… I guess. I probably would have left it for the winter!

It was getting too long for that. The longer it is, the more difficult to cut. So now it is done. Hopefully, won’t have to do it again this year!

My father used to say he liked snow cos it hid his garden and made it look as good as everyone else’s. Though his garden was always fantastic

I don’t mind snow. Just not until December, please. And right. It’s always the ones with the fantastic gardens who whinge the most!

Yea! For us, snow seldom arrives until February, or even March. If it arrives at all. But not the same for rest of UK. Norfolk, God’s blessed county!
