2nd January and we decide on a beach-walk. We leave home early in the hope of catching the sunrise. Oh, but the rainclouds are gathering. We don’t call off. Here’s what we see…
Looking shoreward (to the west, away from the hidden sunrise)
I’ve shown the photos in the order taken. This post might be subtitled, Anatomy of a Clouded Sunrise. And as you can see, the sun did climb above the clouds. I’m saving those shots for Tuesday. Hope you enjoyed.
These are so good. You should frame them and hang them on your walls.

Do you know, I never print out my photos unless they’re to be given to someone. But I do have them as the wallpaper on my laptop. Happy you liked them, Sadje

They have that special quality that makes them remarkable.

Thank you, Sadje. It was recently suggested by one of my Twitter followers that I print a collection of my photos as a coffee table book. Incredible cost. No way could I afford to do that!

You’re welcome! That sort of printing is very expensive. But there are many avenues where people buy and sell digital prints. That’s worth exploring. Your photos are too good to not too be seen by many people

Thank you, Sadje. It’s something I will consider for the future. But at the moment I’m prepping yet another book to publish later this year

Thank you, Deborah. I was a bit hesitant posting these. No bright sunshine, I was afraid they’d appear dreary. But this is an English winter

So many forms, the highlights, the shadows… yes, easy to love them

Those spectacular clouds more than make up for the mostly hidden sunrise. Lovely!
