I’m not a bird photographer. I like subjects that stay still… like flowers and fungi. But… I’ll let you be the judge
We start with a “static”… well, at least it didn’t fly off…
My interest was the clouds… these birds got in the way
So I try again…
The gull has caught a fish… now look down to the bottom, just into shot…
Poor little gull, all hungry…
Enter the turnstones… they eat whatever the waves bring in…
New regulations… only 5 in the pool at any one time (social distancing)
While the others wait their turn…
More attempts to take photos of the sky sabotaged by these ubiquitous gulls!
More turnstones. They’re having a veritable feast today…
And now those gulls are intruding on my shots of the waves!
Brave birds though. I wouldn’t get so close…
Oh dear… time for us to leave. And here’s one more gull to wish us goodbye!
Hope you’ve enjoyed. Such wind-thrashed days don’t come every day.
Such wonderful pics. Love the way they’ve lined up at the edge.

A shot that could not be resisted. But what were they waiting for? No fish in that water.

Maybe for you to take a picture!

Got it!
They reminded me of the contestants in 1960s photos of beauty contests… always lined up around a pool

Oh yes, that used to be the norm then.

Every week I think I’m just going to post the pictures. But there’s a comedic streak in me

Good thing you don’t take birds 😉
These are fun and lovely.

They were an exception. They weren’t going far in that wind

It was an excellent morning. Bit blustery!

You captured not only the birds but the spirit of the East Norfolk coast.

I have the same problem taking pictures of our cat: it will not sit still.

Ironic that butterflies will hold still yet birds will not. And cats are only still when asleep… and even then might twitch & do with dreaming
