beside a stream, within dream
beside a track, that fell from a back
in a dell, fed by a green well
in a cot, that no hands got
covered and buried, by a shrub darkly berried
guarded and railed, by seven false trials
there the swan-lord hid his treasure
yours to find if you have the leisure
The photo shows a hidden green dell squeezed between a leafyΒ lane and the River Wensum, with a metal-box container (used as a shed or a stable?)
Mysterious place.

I wonder what was the mental box/ shed was used for!

I think it was used to store fishing gesr, maybe a canoe or such. Possibly used as a stable, although its dangerously close to a river.

I can use my imagination and come up with something for the prompt.

When I was at the theatre my staff always delivered their best. Except for one memorable young *lady*. π

And along that river, where it fords with the lane, is a pub, called the Swan.

Now, I’m pretty sure the swan-lord won’t want us all traipsing after his treasure! Love that imagery and the rhyme works really well with it too. Has a fairy tale feel to it. Nice

Actually there is a keep out/private property notice along the perimeter!

The poem goes well with the photograph. Imaginative ‘…swan-lord hid his treasure…’.
