Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN
Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN.

Happy Wednesday,
Here’s a thought that came from this in “””poem””” form.

Enjoy.

I like it. But while… dreamy, I’d say, it also was troubling, reminding us, we don’t know what world will greet us at the end of the pandemic.

Probably a push for a cashless society.

It’s hard on the homeless… spare a coin for a coffee? No, I only carry plastic

Harder when some only care to help others when it becomes a popular cause, purely because it’s a popular cause.

Easier to donate by flashing a card. The homeless, for whatever their many and varied reasons, have always tugged at my hand. I keep coins in my pocket especially for them.

Used to do clothes and kitchens. Moved a few times since then, grow more and more disgusted with much of modern charity. One day I’ll live more isolated.

Much of modern charity ends up in the wrong pockets. Hand to hand, face to face, I’ll buy a homeless lad a cup of tea.

Intentions are the same it seems. No longer in an area where wanderers appears.

And I have to add… it’s a virus; it could be worse, we could be facing a real alien invasion.

These days, an alien invasion that would benefit leaders of all stripes would be welcomed, encouraged and opposition outlawed.

Yea, I’m reading beyond that. A good description, hey.

The link doesn’t work for me… Did you remove it?

You’re right, the link doesn’t work. I didn’t notice cos I receive it in the Reader.
So, nudge, nudge, Jen, sort it 🙂

I tried looking through her site but couldn’t find it. Maybe I didn’t look far enough.

A little later into this challenge, but when I saw the photo today, I knew the story it wanted to tell me. I’d heard it, in variations, from too many. May it never be. Again.

Nah, you do yourself down. This was good; a fleece blanket rather than a sharp knife, but good.
