Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN
Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN.

Photo taken last week, when I took the photos of Blue Breydon. Same place. Same place as the rainy day. Witness the rainwear. 🙂

Yes I now see the reason for the photo. It was there drying for you.

There were our jackets, and I thought, wow! That would make a good prompt. It’s the first time I have taken a photo solely for that purpose.

I thank you. I’m trying to send you a photo but I’ve a feeling we’re getting a Windows update and it’s slowing all my processes. So photo won’t attached.

GMail isn’t working. Temporary error. So it suggested I signed out, and signed in again. Alas, I then couldn’t sign in. I’ve been tearing out my hair for the past 2 hours! I’m signed in. But still no Gmail. Ho-hum.

I have gmail. Never used it though LOL They want my phone number to call and leave a verification number for my first send. LOL Still have no phone. Good Luck my friend
LikeLiked by 1 person
The number is just to verify it’s you, and not someone pretending to be.
But Gmail is down, and YouTube too. and I’ve had two hours of stress, so I’m going to submerge myself in a book, with chill music, and hope all is well in the morning
If things should resolve, I’ll send you that photo!

I have to tell you, Jen, things are really screwy with my computer. If I’m offline for a while you’ll know why. I think it has to do with google. I might have to change to Edge. That could mean the loss of all my email data. So I’m hoping I can resolve it
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh I’m so sorry! I hope you can resolve things quicker than you think. I use google chrome. Is that what you were using? Get a yahoo account for mail. It’s been good for me for years!

Another attempt to resolve. A list of things to try, rattling in my head, I couldn’t sleep.

Yea, you can with gmail. But no matter which, there’s a fault and I can’t get round it. I can’t even reach it on my phone.

My WP took a bit to start just now. Told me it couldn’t reach the site. I had to refresh 3 times

That’s your internet provider being slow. Mine is usually slow. This morning it zoomed. The only thing that does.

That’s strange, I am having some technical issues as well. I can’t seem to download the pic I wanted off of Facebook for the one-liner challenge. Weird. I’ll look into my link and see what’s wrong.

Yea, as I say, I can reach both your sites, but not this post. Good luck with it

Why don’t you just copy and paste the URL instead of using whichever service it is?

This is such an intriguing photo! Great for a photo prompt challenge. I must admit to feeling a little stumped to begin with for this one. I could think of all sorts of things to write but none for Lyr. It took me a few minutes before the brain wave struck 🙂

I’d say that brain wave was brimming with inspiration.
We’d been caught in the rain. Half hour shower. And the wind was now blowing. So, time to dry the jackets and there just happened to be a handy gate. Then, restless, I thought, wow, this could make a good prompt. I don’t very often shot photos with that in mind.
