Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN
Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN.

Lovely image 🙂

The flowers look magical,
Shivering by the breeze,
Nodding to the whispering clouds,
As if reality shall cease
To exist this moment.

The picture is really beautiful! Eager for next week 😁

How are you doing? How was your week?

Productive, creative, enjoyable, satisfying … pretty ordinary, really. And yours?

Wow… I really think you have a wonderful control over words. Even simple things you express admirably.
My week was fine but lots of exam and study and rain. 😃✨

What subjects? And how do you think you did in them? Easy passes, or a bit of a struggle?

Biology, Chemistry, Information Technology, English, Physics.
In English and Physics results are not declared yet.
In Biology, Chemistry and Information Technology, I got full marks.
Till now, they have been very bright! 💓😃
Thank you for asking!

Looks like you’re heading for a career in the sciences. Well done for the full marks. 🙂

No, no, I don’t like Sciences! I like History and culture and literature 😃 Till grade 10, we have to study everything 😃✨

Ah, remember the days. I have to say I was divided about my direction. Strong on sciences, yet my heart set on the creative arts. After a long period of *wobble* my heart won out. My love of history wouldn’t let go, and the obsession with writing just grew and grew.
I’m sure it’ll all work out for you. But allow that you might have to take a few detours. Never wasted; a writer needs a wide base of life experience.

It’s great that at last I found someone like me. I am determined to listen to my yeart and explore the history and culture of the world. 💓✨😃

I’m sure there are loads more like us. But I’d say it’s best to listen to the heart. Too many times logic has led me astray. As one of my characters says, We don’t have the knowledge. Think of all the issues you must factor in to make a wise decision with the head? Better then, to follow the heart. And I wish you well with your exploration. So much easier now with the internet. Imagine having to sit long hours in a library.

I would like to have your character as my mentor. Just spoke the words I wanted to learn.

She is a shamanic wise-woman.

It’s really good to see wise women in fiction. Most of the roles of mentors are taken by males.

Well, she did have two male mentors. But now she’s gone on to do her own thing, so to speak.

But well… I still love sitting in the library more than surfing hours and hours through internet. 😃

The smell of books. The feel of the paper. The words. The quiet. The wood. The dust. The sense of the hundreds … thousands … who have read these words before us … the sense of where these words might lead us …

Oh yes, you perfectly describe my feelings. And I love the calmness of the library too.
