The elves came out of the woods, came into the open.
‘Where shall we build our new homes?’ asked the headman, Alvyn.
‘I know,’ said Damh the Bard, ‘let’s build of stone at Portmeirion.’

Who’s Damh the Bard? Listen along.
Although the idea of ancient Celtic gods hanging out with “The Prisoner” is a mite disturbing. 😉

You forget, I have no TV; I know nothing about The Prisoner. 🙂

It’s from 1967-68, British television. Patrick McGoohan, sort of reprising his role as a spy from “Danger Man” (aka “Secret Agent”) is abducted and confined to this charming little village in order to break him psychologically. Bit of a cult TV series. Definitely set in Portmeirion for exteriors.

Ah, I remember that. But I never watched it. I never have been much for watching TV, not when I can be out doing things, or cloistered in my room writing.

It does look like it. And what an enchanting song! Thanks for both.

You checked it out, hey. This Damh the Bard (I think it’s pronounced Dav) has quite stolen my ears of late. Easy listening to write to. 🙂

Succinct and entirely plausible.

I thank you. I pondered over which track to use. But the Spirit of Albion seemed most apt. Besides, the words cut in quite quickly, whereas with other tracks there’s a long musical introduction. 🙂
