Vivid in ’89

Vivid in ‘89
That’s a memory that makes a good line
And it was a good line
A vivid time
When I was yours
And you were mine
When passion ruled
And we ignored the clock’s chime

Ask not for whom the bell tolls

Vivid the memory of that car as it helled towards us
Vivid the face of the driver
Vivid the crash, the crumple, the force that threw me
Vivid the memory of that tree
Vivid the gas-fuelled explosion
And you not beside me
Vivid that memory.
