We walked from Oulton Village (north Lowestoft) via Flixton Marshes, Somerleyton, Ashby and Lound to Hopton. So many butterflies, so many great shots, it was a hard decision which ones to use.

I kid you not, it so difficult to pick out which photos to use. The butterflies in particular were quite determined to get in the shot.

I see quite a lot of day-flying moths too, but they’re a lot smaller, and even less likely to pose for a pic.

Wonderful photos Crispina. Seems your trek was well worth it.
One Summer I turned and spotted a Dragonfly doing casual but repeated passes outside my balcony window. It looked like a giant I swear! Maybe 12″ in length. My brave departed Pyewackette watched intently, while I closed the screen! It decidedly got bored and left.
