Tuesday Treat

I’m giving no commentary to these photos except to say they were taken on 3rd September 2020 when it seems most of East Anglia experienced an amazing sunset. These photos were taken either at Breydon Water or on my way there. Enjoy…

Gorgeous photos, I think the third one is my favorite! Makes me want to go back to the beach, then again, I wish I lived there!

Absolutely stunning, Crispina. What luck to live with this in your “backyard” so to speak…

Very dramatic! I especially appreciated the bonus shot of the “golden hour” across the golden fields.

    • It seems everyone focuses on the sun while the gold of her rays go unobserved

Well put. Here we are having pink skies and orange sun, which would be eerily beautiful if the cause (wildfires all across the west coast) weren’t so devastating.

      • I feel for the people of the west coast. Your smoke has hit the higher atmosphere and drifted here. We’re getting very vivid sunsets and sunrises… though not as vivid as some twitter-photographers who hype up the colour

I am lucky to be far enough south (nearer to LA) that we only have a *few* wildfires around us. Our university is giving us air quality warnings and telling us to avoid going outside. But I had to get to the doctor’s yesterday and that meant a walk (which I really needed for my mental health as well as my physical health). The air didn’t smell or taste that bad, but then, I don’t have any respiratory problems, thank goodness. And the skies were less filled with smoky clouds. Still, it’s like a spooky cotton haze up there. Weird.
