Walking around town… mostly all I’ve done these last two months… and this caught my eye. So I stood a while and reflected: This might make a good shot.

It made for an amazing shot! And you couldn’t have asked for a better response to the prompt.

Thanks. I took the photo thinking I’d use it for a prompt. But not being able to get out much at the moment, I’m looking to see what photos I can use. I got out yesterday, but 50 mph winds doesn’t encourage photography!

Thank you, Susan. It makes a change for me to use something other than water for Reflections

I love this! The red doors really pop. And I like how you included both the real thing and the reflection. Nicely done.
And don’t think I didn’t notice your little play-on-words. 😉

Thank you, Maria. I’m struggling for photos at the moment, without having to use last years. It’s not that it’s always raining (though it has done it a lot) or that we have snow (we have none). but the wind. I rely on public transport, and waiting for buses… and then without a tripod, not always easy to get a decent shot. But, so far, so good.

Yeah, I know what you mean. While I do have a tripod, I don’t often take it out with me because it’s just so unwieldy. I will try to find a branch or even use the ground as my “tripod”. But that’s not fun if it’s really cold and windy!!
Here’s to spring being around the corner!

Oh yes please. Though I do note, previous years I’ve had to wait till February was nigh gone before getting out. Patience

Achievement indeed! Not everyone would pick up on this opportunity. At first glance I thought the colours were brilliant and the photo is so crisp! (No pun intended) I immediately started thinking of a story behind the photo. Excellent photo from my point of view! By the way, be careful not to be picked up for wandering. I can’t imagine you not writing most of the time. Its what you do!😊💜 Reflection is good for the soul. 😊

Excuse me, *picked up for wandering?* What’s that mean?

Oh! You said you were wandering around town a lot. What ever did you think I meant? Around here if we see someone wandering around we might think they were lost or needed some help. I certainly meant no offense by what I said. If I did I’m sorry.

I didn’t take it in any way. I was mystified, But anyway, there I am with a camera slung around my neck, taking photos. No one’s likely to thinnk I’m lost.

You have a point there! But anyway I love it! A perfect reflection! 😊💜

I thankj you, And I do thank you for your concern. I just can’t imagine anyone in this town asking someone if they were lost. More likely they’d keep an eye out, afraid you were eyeing up their joint, ready to break and enter 🙂

OMG “Eyeing up their joint”.
I hope the weather is clearing up for you. I know if your not writing you love your hiking. And of course I’d be concerned about you, always. I better get out to the store now or I’ll have nothing to eat for dinner. At least its sunny here and unusually warm. Our Winter is playing tricks on us. 😊💜

I am writing. Next novel. And I took a chance on the weather and got out yesterday, only a chort walk of 4 miles. But generally it’s been pouring rain or howling gales. Most discouragng.

Well that’s good! You have a new novel to keep you excited and better weather on the horizon! I guess I can say that because I have sun coming in my window. Next time you’re out get some cut flowers or potted bulbs that should cheer you up despite the weather. 😊

I always have at least two vases of fresh flowers in my living room (at the moment I have carnations and alstromeria). I also have flowering bulbs in the hall. They last so much better away from the heat.

Yes! Both Carnations and Altro last forever it seems. I’d say at least two weeks or more. What kind of bulbs? Hyacinth?
