Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN
Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN.

ooooo that water looks cold and deep. I’m shivering just looking at it. The mind wonders.

No, it one of the Broads. Most aren’t deep. But they can be dangerous. 10 foot deep maybe in thick sludgy mud. Folks have died just jumping in. Not a safe place for swimming. Not to mention the blood-sucking eels.

Did you hear me scream????? I hate swimming in dark waters. Not even a lake! I’d drown just thinking about it. I’m still shivering thinking about EELS!!!!!!!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yea, eels are a little too much like snakes for my tastes. And now you have me shivering.

Thank you. When I took the photo I doubted I’d ever use it. It’s just I was taken with all those chains. They are there, of course, to allow the building to ride up and down with the tide (gentle this far from the sea, this near to its farthest reach). Though how does it float with a concrete base. Yet it does.

I tried my best to make it sunny but I guess, the mood seems quite forced 🙂

No, I found it fine. As I put in my comment, it comes across as acceptance, that whatever life rains upon us, we do survive

You will be welcomed. Look forward to seeing your takes on the photo prompts. Anything you want, but it must be your own work, and if fiction then a max of 150 words.

Really interesting photo, this one. And it’s only taken me what…six and a half weeks to respond to it. To say that I’m late would be quite the understatement 🙂

There is no closing date. Just happy to have you join us again.
When I took the photo I didn’t know how I was ever to use it. Yet all those chains just fascinated me. Boats in bondage? Punk punts!
