CCC115: Come With Me

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #115

Come with me down to the sea
Through dunes’ eternal green
Come share with me this one last dream
Let us be as once we were
Not torn apart by one cruel year
Let’s join with the ebbing waves
And let them scour us clean
To return again, you with me

  3. A beautiful verse! I really like the picture, too; I always like that inviting sense of “leading into the horizon.

Nice one. That path to the sea looks serene and inviting and universal enough to remind me of such spots here in parts of Florida.

I had this nagging suspicious I hadn’t left a comment… So I had to come back!
A cruel year indeed. And it ain’t over, is it?
I long for the freedom of being able to visit friends and lovers once again…

    Interesting poem.
I’m thinking we won’t see the end of this virus for years, if ever. We’ll probably have a vaccine but I’m not sure I’ll get one. 70 years is ok by me. 🙂 Had enough.

I’m one of the most positive people I know. Have we seen the end of The Flu? The common cold? This virus keeps mutating and getting stronger. Yet people keep thinking it will go away without affecting them and protesting the use of masks and gatherings.
The fight to get the vaccine by individuals has just begun.
I’ve had a wonderful, experienced filled life. I wouldn’t change any of it even if I could.
What I don’t need is anyone telling me I’m negative.
Thanks so much for your encouragement “My Friend”.

Inspired in spirit, more than the actual picture, I see. And, yes, the year has been miserable. I can remember when we went into the first lockdown, and people were talking about what a great time they’d have at their favorite restaurant when COVID-19 was gone. A year marked at its beginning with a friend committing suicide, and then your father dying at the other end.

I’ve had bad years before. I’ve had good years before. So far as I can tell, I’ve been more strongly marked by the good years than the bad ones. As long as I can say that, I’ll be happy to go on to the next.
