2020, a new year, a new list of titles for Maria’s Antonia’s #2020picoftheweek challenge.
For me it started on the last day of the old year. The day dawned warm, with hardly a breeze, and not a raincloud in sight. Right, grab the camera and get out. My thought was only to walk around town, since Around Town is one of the titles for this year.
Out of the door, turn right, 35 yds to the quay. And the above scene greeted my eyes.
That was it, the perfect shot for Up In The Sky.
I took several more shots, including this one…
I could have put the camera away, turned around and gone home. But it was such a balmy day that I kept on walking. And scooped several more “interesting” shots.
If you fancy a hand at this weekly (yet annual) challenge, details and the list of titles can be found on Maria’s Antonia’s #2020picoftheweek challenge.
Beautifully done Crispina! ❤

I thank you. It was just there… in front of me. It had to be shot… snapped… clicked… photographed

Is it a Christmas decoration or are they relocating a tree?

New Year’s Eve, no one at work. I’m thinking it was a Christmas decoration.

Wow!!! What a shot. I love it. It’s like it all came down to a contest as to who had the tallest tree. Looks like Bob won this year!

Wow, those pics are stunning. The ship’s red is eye-catching. Great work!

I thank you. Guess I’m lucky to live so close to such interesting subjects, despite I more often bus out to the countryside than walk the camera around town.

Wonderful! Looks like Christmas is over and time to take down the tree 😉

I think I was lucky with the timing. Although I haven’t peeped around the corner to see, I expect that tree came down as soon as the crane driver returned to work after the Christmas & New Year break.
