Seaside Rendevous

22nd Oct 2021

There’s a Rhapsody the whole world knows
Maybe not all the words, but how the chorus goes
We can’t refrain from singing along
This most unlikely opera-styled song
But who pays mind to the other tracks?
What of the shark with the fin on his back?
My personal favourite is ‘39
A May-penned song about space-travel and time
“In the land our grandchildren knew”
And I know all about a Seaside Rendezvous
Living by the sea, as I do
That’s where I met the Love Of My Life in ’83
Never wed, just Good Company

That was so very clever, Crispina! And how true that most of the world remembers (and sings along with) the one song from the album!

  2. I think when people think of opera they think of people singing, women with high pitches, men with baritone…

  5. I like this VERY much. So fitting and true everybody knows the chorus of the one song, maybe not the words, and not always something they can define. I attribute it to the exquisite complexity of the blended vocals. Great music, sure but the mixing … ahhh that’s sublime! 😉

  6. Nope, Not Pam says:

Love this, I like how you’ve painted your own opera 😊
