Shots from our walk on 28th May 2022. A medley.
If you look closely you’ll see there are two bees…
Water Lilies and Water Violets…
Fancy fungi found hiding along the way…
A grey wagtail; it flitted like a butterfly across the village pond
A thick-thighed bug settles on a complimentary poppy
Tutsan in flower and berry
Dratted bee got into shot!
Another foxglove, another bee…
A beef escort across this pasture. They were quite insistent on accompanying us… somewhat closely…
Blue damselfly…on reed
A red damselfly? I think so. And bittersweet…
Guardian of Damgate Carr…
Fungal brackets, hiding amongst the greenery
And that’s all. Hope you enjoyed. More photos next week.
Wow, lots of fungi. Is that usual at this time of year?

Some fungi are present in summer, but most are autumn. Winter & spring are the dearth months

I am beyond pleased to see bees in your shots! I’ve seen one. ONE bee this year. It makes me more than sad.
Love the Guardian – and all the flowers and ‘shrooms, for sure.
