Gloria slammed the door on the carol-singers with their “Deck the halls”.
She didn’t want to be jolly. Or rather she wanted to be jolly all on her own. Why, when all year round they left her alone, couldn’t care less if she lived or drowned, must they bully her into enjoying their company? Just because of the season. No! No, no, and no again. She didn’t like company. She didn’t want to sing, at least not their songs. She was okay on her own.
She put on her music, opened a bottle, sank into her chair, and skinned a spliff. NOW Gloria was in excelsis.
Happy Christmas. And please be considerate of your neighbours. Maybe they LIKE to be on their own and do their own thing. That doesn’t mean they are lonely.
Gloria doing her thing. Nothing wrong with that! I have never, ever in my life had carol-singers come to my door. I swear it only happens in the movies π
Here’s wishing you a Happy Christmas doing YOUR thing! xoxo

When in our early teens a group of friends used to carol-sing around the village. And I’ve had them come to my door many times… but not recently. And thank you for your best wishes. You can be sure I shall be doing my own thing. : ) π π

Everyone needs to celebrate in their own way, no not celebrate.

It’s a hand-rolled cannabis cigarette. Gosh, that was difficult to describe. A joint.

Can I join Gloria? I bring wine. I would run screaming if someone came caroling to my door, LOL.
