8th September and we plan to visit Tyrrells Wood. Yet our interest lies less with the ancient woodland and more with the route taken.
The morning starts misty but the sun is bright. Together they cast a magical air
A distant mill (on zoom)
Love country lanes. Trees, sunlight and no traffic
The harvest is in. Doesn’t matter now if we have September storms
We’re hoping for signs of autumn’s approach
And into the magical woods…
On our way to the bus home we pass the village pond
And so the walk is done. See Tuesday Treats for berries and foliage seen on the way. They were the true mark of autumn’s approach
Oh, my. These are delightful photos

Not a chance. Wrong county. We have takes of Dick Turpin (highway man) here and Hereward the Wake (led Saxon rebellion against the conquering Normans)
