Tuesday Treat: Flowers

Photos of flowers taken on our walk from East Carlton to Swardeston via Intwood 1st June 2021

Grasses are flowers too. Not sure if this is foxtail or timothy

Horse chestnut (conker tree)…

Leopardbane, a naturalised garden escapee…

Cranesbill, one of the many varieties…

Here’s another you might not think of as a flower. Plantain

And another naturalised escapee, Russian Comfrey…

These tiny sapphires are speedwell…

Purple cranesbill…

(Wild) Star of Bethlehem, the flowers and stems much smaller than the garden variety

And that’s all for now. Hope you enjoyed

  4. Beautiful. So many colors. I think I saw wild Star of Bethlehem near me but didn’t know the name.
