Continuing our walk from 12th May, having passed through Ashby St Mary we head to Lound Lakes.

What a gorgeous walk – how lovely to go along vicariously! I loved the bluebells, especially in the shady woods, which are always my favorite part of a walk.
It’s been a while since I’ve come up for air to see your posts and I’ve missed them. What a lovely one to come back to! I finally took a few days of vacation a couple weeks ago and went to visit someone who lives out in the country in upstate New York, and it was absolutely wonderful to be able to walk around there and feel back around nature again. He has 50 acres of unfinished land with trails and woods and fields, and a large pond with two (very loud) nesting geese and a beaver. It was so magical and peaceful to sit on his back patio and watch the deer come drink at the pond. ❤

Aw, I envy you. Sounds idyllic. I’ve a friend who has acres in the Endless Mountains, he speaks of watching the deer and I think of growing wings and taking to the air!!!

I envy past-Me too, now that I’m back home and far from any wilderness. I have nice places to walk here, but they feel very manicured and crowded compared to his farm. He sends me photos from his walks sometimes though, so that’s nice. And I’ll get to see it again in a couple of months. ❤
