Crimson’s Creative Challenge #124

CCC124

Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN

Here’s how it works:

Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE

Here are some suggestions:

  • An answering photo
  • A cartoon
  • A joke
  • A caption
  • An anecdote
  • A short story (flash fiction)
  • A poem
  • A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
  • An essay
  • A song—the lyrics or the performance

You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:

  • Your creative offering is indeed yours
  • Your writing is kept to 150 words or less

If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)

Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN

  3. Brian Bixby says:

“The Queen is supposed to be coming up these steps?” I asked incredulously.

“Yep. And Prince Philip. And the corgis,” Lassiter replied.

“What, is this some sort of devious plot to put Charles on the throne? And can’t you include Boris while you’re at it?” I was so upset I was breaking protocol and introducing politics. Like that isn’t what these sorts of events are about, anyhow.

Lassiter sighed. Lassiter can make even a sigh sound snooty. “The Queen once took refuge here during a bombing raid in 1941. It’s a visit in commemoration.”

“Or in memoriam,” I bluntly replied. “Probably the steps date from 1941.” My turn to sigh. “Give me a week to reinforce everything and have Prince William along to help her. Call it ‘History across the generations.’ Or else start planning a coronation.”

    Lassiter shuddered at the thought.

  6. Ah, missed the prompt last week to schedule craziness, but glad to give it a stab this week. Here’s to finding ways where there seem to be few, or none.
