Hi, fellow walkers. Don your boots (make sure they’re waterproof), for today we’re to walk through the mist.
The walk starts here, at Haven Bridge 6:25 am, the sun yet to rise, the mist just beginning to form
The bus takes us to Lowestoft where we catch a bus out to Kessingland. We’ve missed the sunrise, yet it lingers on the mist
Gisleham: A chilly start to the walk
We’re to follow the Hundred Stream across the meadows where the mist is thickest
A postbox lends colour to a landscape paled out
Heading to Rushmere the sun breaks through
And across the meadows to Mutford
So many photos taken here; which ones to share?
These trees begged a photograph… back-to-back
Wet misty meadows
And finally onto higher land where Old Mutford Hall hides behind a muddle of roofs
Heading into the village, fat-faced lambs graze in a field near the road. This is a breed unfamiliar to me. They look so cuddly
I love signage. But what’s this: The footpath to heaven?
The oaks hold out a golden welcome as we head towards Mutford Wood
The footpath passes through someone’s garden… where strange creatures lurk in wait
And into the woods
Thereafter a long bridleway takes us to a bus stop and the bus ride home
Bye-bye trees. Till next time
Hope you enjoyed the walk. No flowers along the way? Oh yes, but I’m saving them for Tuesday
A wonderful walk – so thanks for sharing your time in the mist. The green still pops in the off-season. Love the trees!

You always welcome.
Over the past year I@ve become increasingly aware that it’s not just my daughter and me on our walks, but you, my blog followers, and also a fair few on Twitter too. It’s an honour to take you along with me.

The back to back trees were fantastic – a rare find.
And the postbox! So vivid. Are they all like that, or just the one?

I’ve not seen another like it. That’s what caught my eye

Gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing! I especially loved the muted colors in the misty morning, so beautiful. And those two trees really do look like they’re standing back to back! I have been stuck inside for so long, and even when I go out it’s all city streets. So it’s lovely to have a vicarious walk out in nature.

Always happy to provide. But this week, no walk (I still have one in stock). I’m into Norwich to see my father. Haven’t seen him for a year. Couldn’t even go to him for his 100th birthday! But tomorow… y yay!
