Early Morning in Town

Greyfriar’s Way: 19 June 2020

Yesterday, took the small camera shopping with me. In its day, this was a road a hundred pubs. Now there are only two. The road runs alongside the town hall.

  2. Looks like a rather typically English street. Very nice shot.

  3. I love this shot! I want to go down that road. And good idea for keeping a smaller camera on hand for when you’re out and about. There are a lot of good shots I miss because I don’t have my camera with me!

A hundred pubs! Ah, time when I’d take that as a challenge (which, incidentally, I would fail, even in my 20s). One of the weird but delightful experiences of the current plague is going to places that would normally be crowded, when they are not. Several tourist destinations are enjoying the respite (so long as we’re not talking about those who make money off the tourist trade). And I was thinking to myself on my morning bike ride to Alewife Station that there was curiously little traffic on the road, even for a Saturday morning.
