For Little Johnny never did as Little Johnny should
Little Johnny B Good, don’t you go near that water
But Little Johnny B Good, being at best No Good, ventured ever closer and near
Little Johnny B Good, don’t you go peering in that water
But Little Johnny B Goode, being at best No Good, peered to see what’s there
Little Johnny B Goode, don’t you go feeding the fishes there
But Little Johnny B Goode, being at best No Good, threw in a half-chewed pear
Sad to tell the rest of this tale for a gnarly great beast did erupt in a swell, jaws dropped wide, and in Johnny fell
Inspired from a song remembered from when every weekend I’d rock the dance floor

Don’t you dare feel bad. My good moods are always a good sleep away and it’s just been that kind of week, you know. I’ll manage. If I don’t find a good topic, I still have three things I can write about at the drop of a hat: Tea, Physics and Dogs! Just writing that out warmed my heart a bit! 😄

What are you doing? I haven’t slept yet! I am still drowning in self-recrimination for all the imagined things I did wrong this past week! I can’t handle expectations right now!

I didn’t see the song inspiration at first, but when I was reading the poem, I thought of songs! But in my mind it was more blues/soul than rock. Very cool!

Although many of the early rock numbers were originally blues or soul from earlier years, I don’t think this one was. But I could be wrong. It’s a song I’ve always liked
