Yea, I know, I’m usually so irreverent. And when I uploaded and scheduled we’d not yet had this week’s reviewed restrictions. Now, I look forward to quiet walks on the beach, unhampered by holidaymakers!

The beach is a good place to be. Less likely to bump into any spikey balls!

Spikey balls? Oh! Do you mean volleyball? Nope Hmm. You got me there! Help me with that one please 🙂😏

Have you not seen pictures of the virus? Spikey balls. Stick one of those on the of a stick, and you’ve a lethal medieval mace!

I once enlivened a room full of very bored people by throwing them the challenge of finding 5 new ways to use the humble light bulb. No holds barred.

I fear you may be right. No self-fulfilling prophesy involved, just reading the necessary signs.

We’re being told 12 weeks, and then a review, the restrictions might be lifted, but chances are it’ll only be for a month or so. They’ll shut down for another 8 weeks. And so it’ll go. Meanwhile, variuous drugs are being trialed, so there might be help even before the vaccines get their approval.

China took nearly four months to get to the point where they are not seeing new case. So I am planning for that, and hoping for better.

Possibly the summer heat will cap the spread for a while. But if so, it’ll be back. Latest on that is it spreads most at 5 to 11 degree C, and 47% to 79% humidity. Those are UK weather conditions right now.

The picture is cool. How are you Crispina? Are Corona cases serious at your place?

I’m okay, I do thank you for the query. In Norfolk where I live we have 17 cases confirmed, which probably means they were severe enough to go to hospitals; outside of hospitals not much testing is done. We’re now on lockdown… in as much as social gatherings are banned, and schools have closed, and everyone’s told to work from home where possible, and we’re only to go for essentials. But these are recent closures. For me personally, it means no long wanders along the green lanes. I shall adjust. It won’t last forever.

I’m a recluse by nature. Just… no trees for a while. How’s you?
LikeLiked by 1 person
That’s sad 😦 I don’t really mind being indoors because there are lots of books, lots to write and about 29 indoor plants 🙂 Are you writing something currently?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’ve plenty of houseplants too… though not 29. I also make sure I have cut-flowers indoors. As to what I’m writing… Learning to Fly, prepping it ready to put out to beta-readers, hopefully by Easter, but more likely by early summer. Acontemporary set time-slip fantasy, with a dragon, and Vikings, and semi-immortals beings and… etc. Fun.

My father has taken a liking to roof-gardening actually. That sounds beautiful! Have cherry blossoms bloomed at your place?
Wow, the story sounds really, really amazing! I’ve grown quite fond of Norse Mythology recently. Who are your main characters? 😀

A mid-30s recluse now venturing out, and a 13,000 year old semi-divine whose development seems to be halted aged 17. That ensures lots of conflict

And how are you? Good to hear from you again. 🙂

Yes, yes, you are. You’re a survivor, a guide, a person to look up to and a writer and a photographer and you give life to a number of characters and you are a builder of worlds. I hope you are alright.
If you don’t mind me asking, did you have Covid-19?
I’m good and thank you so much ❤

The dreaded covid? I might have had it earlier, but mild. On the other hand, that could have been dust-reaction, or something. Not much by way of testing happening here, so we have to guess. I suppose they’ll eventually get round to testing us.

I see, but whatever it was, you survived and that’s great news ❤ One of my friend's father died out of Covid 19 as well so it's getting scary now, but I guess, the worst is over?

So they say. We’re learning more about it all the time. But mainstream media just deals in depressions and fears. Sorry to hear about your friend’s father. There have been some deaths around here, but I’m not in one of the hot spots. Thankfully. Take care. Keep safe.

It’s really great that you don’t live in hotspots. I hope you stay safe as well.
And, completely out of context, do you like Taino civilizations and myths?

I have read a little about the Taino, but generally my interest is Europe and the Middle East, so I’m far from an expert of the Americas.

I’ve just spent the morning on the third draft of wip, and receiving the last of the input from my critique partner on the book that’s now out to betas. So far? A bit like a chess board. And you?

Wow, what is your book about?
LikeLiked by 1 person
The one out to betas? The story follows the MC’s hunt through history for her grandpa, helped by a devious untrustworthy semi-immortal. The third draft wip follows MC (and her family’s) attempts to adjust to unprecedented change following the invasiona and settlement of their land; it’s set at the change of Neolithic to Bronze Age and was inspired by the similar incursion of the Beaker Folk into Western Europe.

Some scientists are saying that Covid has effected the climate in a positive way. No emissions etc have cleared the air.(less driving etc.) It’s apparently made a huge difference in some countries.

I heard someone raise a very interesting question a couple of days back. We’re being fed all these death rates… but are these figures in addition to the usual annual deaths due to age, winter flu, heart and respiratory problems?
LikeLiked by 1 person
The increase is the result of new testing. The new test make the numbers higher.

But how can we say these same people (and I’m thinking mostly about the elderly of Italy) wouldn’t have died anyway, without the virus?
LikeLiked by 1 person
That’s part of what they’re saying in the link.
We didn’t have testing before the numbers increased.
