CCC#65: Dicing with Death

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #65

Dear Lord, forgive my sin
This one last time as they lay me in
To change my bet
On whose protection I can get
Reminded when I rolled the dice
I prefer the devil with his snake-eyes!

    • I find I can’t see them as anything other than eyes. They remind me of the spirals on the Neolithic passage graves at Newgrange in Ireland… which the inspiration for The Spinner’s Child book cover. But then, instead, I saw snakes. In fact, it’s a scroll. 🙂

Brilliant take. It really looks like a davil with snake eyes.
