CCC64: The Elders

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #64

“What’s that?”

“What’s what?”

I nodded at the structure. “Them.”

“Oh, them. Them’s the Elders.”

“What elders?”

“The Elders that were here before we came.”

“But nothing was here before we came.”

“The Elders were here.”

I looked at her. She was joshing me, yea? “When?”

“In the Elder Times; when else, of course.”

I didn’t believe her. There was nought but a mud-bank here before we came.

Because to me, they look like three elders, with heads together, discussing what now to do with the town. Though I suppose they could be wishbones. The giant Roc perhaps?

Elders from a mysterious place seems more appropriate.

Wonderful! They do look like “Elders” with their heads together… or giant wishbones, for that matter… Hope this doesn’t influence my own story 😉

  5. Very good! ‘Elders’ works, but you really hit on a unique & great idea with ‘wishbones.’

Hey, it does look like three people huddling together, consulting or talking! Great interpretation!

Could definitely be Elders. . .or perhaps they’re the children, and the Elders are much bigger and coming back for them. 🙂
