I tend to hide in the warm and the dry at this time of day, especially at this time of year. But being late in returning from a walk, and with camera still primed into my hand…
I here give you Great Yarmouth at 5:00 pm… in a lull in the traffic (I think they saw the camera and turned shy).
Nighttime, one of the titles in #2019picoftheweek challenge. For details see MariaAntonia
Something so inviting about this shot. Well done!

As my introductory blurb says, this isn’t my usual subject. But it offered itself and so… I took. Glad you liked it.

This made me think of that phrase “Spring ahead! Fall back.” During the dullest months of the year they have to take daylight from us. I know there’s probably good reason. BUT…..
The photo would make a good prompt for a story.

There’s an old Scots saying, What Winter borrows from Spring, Winter takes back from Summer

I’m not sure where I came across. Long time ago. Probably a book of Scottish sayings.

Lovely to see you “step out of your box” so to speak…
And I reallly like this shot.

Thank you, Dale.
I knew I had this title to do (Nighttime) and despite I live just a few steps away from this scene, I just don’t go out once I’ve eaten, and I’m relaxing. But here I was, late in my return home. So… I took a dozen photos. Decision then was which one to use.

I’ve got that title to do as well. Can’t get a fix on that yet.

Jeez, you’re not orbiting are you? Within or outside the moon’s orbit? Don’t you go no farther out. There’s some nasty radiation fields out there; they’ll turn you green.

I really like the oranges/yellows/blacks in this scene. It actually makes it all look kind of cozy!

Amazing how it works like that. But perhaps that effect would be destroyed if I’d caught the shot a moment earlier, when the traffic was snarling.
