Between and betwixt the Hall and the Marsh, there you’ll find the Tweeny Wood
where Tweenies live – ‘tween this year and the last
‘tween this month and next
‘tween this day and the last
‘tween this moment and next
‘tween this and another
‘tween this bush and the rest
‘tween this berry and the flower
‘tween this burrow and the nest
leaping, skipping, capering, tripping
faster than an eye, forbidding
follow if you can and if you dare
the Tweenies’ll lead you twixt here and there
from child to teen to adulthood
twixt Hall and Marsh, in Tweeny Wood
A little bit of nonsense for Crimson’s Creative Challenge
Wonderful. 😃

Thanks, J. I just had this visions of these *inbetween-not-quite-there-creatures* flitting about.

Enjoyable nonsense though 🙂

Thanks, Joanne. Sometimes we need to release the nonsense, let it bubble over. 🙂

As intended. But it’s fun to skip amongst the trees! 🙂

Absolutely… In all weather 😉

In all weathers yes, though last week in the rain the sodden leaves were unresponsive. No fun at all. 🙂

No, rain is not the fun time to take a walk…

I don’t mind walking in the rain. But it’s not good for the equipment.

Exactly. And even if you have protective gear for it, it is a pain…

Putting it away, getting it out, putting it away, making sure you’ve wiped it. Something less of a problem if only using a phone-camera

Exactomundo. That is when I just bring my phone…. who needs the headache?

Unfortunately my phone camera is crap. My old one is better. But I forget to bring it with me. Serves me… yea, I know.

Mine is wonderful, I admit. Often I choose the picture taken with the cell over the one with the camera!

Envy. But then you only get what you pay for, and I’m tight with the money… the only way I survive.

I hardly see how I pay for it as it’s part of my forfeit 😉 And I always take the previous year’s model so I don’t pay more than $100 for it…

I don’t pay for the phone, I pay for the potential calls. Like, I pay for them whether I use them or not. I’ve only once reached the ceiling and got charged above. To get a better phone means higher monthly charges. For something I’m not going to use. So I go for the cheapest.

We get what we need and what makes us comfortable. Nothing wrong with that

Jiggers, I swore I wouldn’t use that word a few years back when it was the word to say.

Thank you. I guess it comes down to that oft-said phrase: You have to know the rules before you can break them.

Well said. A writer should never feel like being fenced in.

No, that’s why, though I do poetry, I don’t do the recognised forms
LikeLiked by 1 person
Continue to write the way which brings you adventure and fun. All forms are good.

Having so many trees around you itself is fun and skipping around… I would still love to. Wonderful.

I still do. A child, never to grow up. I have daughters older than me, at least at heart.

Would go well in a book of children’s poems! Cute.

Thank you. And I’m not going to say I don’t write children’s poems, cos quite a lot of my early nonsense was written for my own children… aeons ago

Aww, that’s cute! You know, Richard Adams initially wrote Watership Down for his kids. Now it’s a classic!

Yea, and it’s not alone in being written for children and enjoyed by adults.
