Which Lights?

image by Crispina (21st Oct 2018)

Twilight… Two lights.

Which lights?

This light? That light?

Sunlight, moonlight, starlight, lamplight?
Searchlight?
Limelight, footlight?
Nah, headlight, backlight.
Paradise by the Dashboard Light.
Ghost lights, spectral lights… witch lights?
Christmas lights, fairy lights?
Candlelight, firelight?
Gaslight, flashlight?
Ship’s lights?

Which lights? These lights.

This is full of imagery. I can see how you grouped them I read it slowly. “Paradise by the Dashboard light” was intriguing and it full stopped me there. Then it seemed to flow into memories and settled with “These lights” . Almost like a journey through lights. Quite the journey in 44 words, a lifetime.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it. But I think it’s genius 💜🌼
    I’d Title it “A Lifetime”

  10. Lovely word play – and so many words for light. I’m particularly pleased by the inclusion of Paradise By – great song!
