Leave My Brain

Replace this face with one that’s younger, fresher, not so worn
Replace this back with one that’s stronger, not so aching, not so torn
Replace this neck with one that’s looser, with traps that aren’t so tight
Replace this wrist, the one I broke, this one on the right
Replace these hips, crumbling with the many miles they’ve walked
Replace this voice, husky from the many nights I’ve talked
Replace the thumbs before, with nerves compressed, they numb
Replace it all but… please… leave me my brain and mind

Lovely Crispina. One’s spirit can never be replaced. It chooses us and yours is lovely.God forbid it becomes easy with new technology. Makes one think, doesn’t it.

Excellent! We really wish if the physical outer appearance could be changed! Ageing is the truth people can’t take lightly… And I wouldn’t blame them
