I thank you, Violet. It was a little take on the ongoing joke between my daughter and me. I’m always suggesting shortcuts… that turn out to be anything but short. She coined the term FLAW, famous last words

Men seldom make mistakes when it comes to directions and finding the way, even when we finally have to actually read the directions or, heaven forbid, consult a map. We do get there.

I always carry a map. And you’d be amazed at how often I consult it. While my daughter argues for the opposite direction.

Nah, we’re good together. Unless we’re looking for somewhere pleasant to stop for lunch and she’s hungry. Then she gets a bit snappy.

Yea, like nothing to eat for a couple hours. I fast for 18 hours … every day. It helps keep the hunger pangs at bay.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not moaning about my daughter. She’s fully sweet-natured. Until it’s coming on meal time.

Not at all. It’s supposed to be an aid to weight loss, but if only works as that if you don’t eat much during those six hours of eating. I pig out on cheese. Can’t help it. However, it is a way of controlling insulin production, and I’m especially sensitive to carbs.

And the vibrations of that MRI contraptions have shaken half a kilo off my frame. And given me a pain in my coccyx. Had to take painkillers just to sleep.

Indeed. Though I suffered loads of pain a couple years back before I discovered the tricks. Cos I wouldn’t quit the walks, and walking with backpack aggrevates.

You can’t walk 5 to 10 miles, complete with water, and food, and emergency first aid, and a map, without somewhere to put everything. And cos I use it for hiking, I have similar for supermarket shopping

I don’t know. Somethings load fast somethings don’t. Size difference is minimal. It’s just a pain when you want to get things done. No biggie I guess.

Somehow I managed to get one smaller in size. Dunno and didn’t much matter to me at the time. I was just happy it loaded 🙂

I thank you. I’ve a reasonably good sense of direction. Though when in unknown territory I much prefer a map in hand. If only supposed public footpaths didn’t suddenly stop cos the farmer has done something where he wasn’t supposed to 🙂

FLAW arose while on holiday one year… probably South Downs. I’m great for suggesting we go a slightly different way, cos the views will be good, and it’ll be a short cut. And when we finally untangle the paths and get back on track, my daughter inevitably says, FLAW!
