Next Train…

Sheringham Rail Station: 5th July 2019

Here’s a clock that’s anachronistic. The station, part of the Poppy Line which runs services … with steam-pulled trains … along the North Norfolk coast, is kitted out in the fashions of its day. I thought it apt for the title In Good Time

  1. Wow… The station looks as if it would just take us to a ride in the past. It surely has a “feel” of the old days… I wonder, what is inside those suitcases?

I have a vague memory of standing on a platform at Norwich station while my father bought tickets. And the train was hissing, stamping its feet like a bull ready to charge. And a memory of my mother telling me and my brother not to hang out of the window, we’d get dirty. And the trains that used to pass my grandma’s house, high on an embankment. Enormous fire-breathing dragons. 🙂
