Crimson’s Creative Challenge #36

#CCC36

Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN

Here’s how it works:

Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE

Here are some suggestions:

  • An answering photo
  • A cartoon
  • A joke
  • A caption
  • An anecdote
  • A short story (flash fiction)
  • A poem
  • A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
  • An essay
  • A song—the lyrics or the performance

You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:

  • Your creative offering is indeed yours
  • Your writing is kept to 150 words or less

If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)

Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN.

The photo was taken aboard the Mincarlo, the only surviving sidewinder trawler of the Lowestoft fishing fleet. Built 1961.

We had spared no expense on our dirigible: brass fixtures, wood paneling, advanced tungsten-magnesium electrical lights powered by quantum fluctuations in the aether, infra-hydrogen gas to fill the aluminium-frame bag, a team of 294, 116 passenger pigeons to provide propulsion, and most of the crowned heads of Europe on our first passenger list. It was guaranteed to be the scientific and social success of the decade, nay, the century!

  9. Hi Crimsonprose! One of my imaginary friends, Gou, wrote a poem. He doesn’t exist in real world, or rather can’t come from Cygnet to Earth, so I hope you don’t mind me submitting a poem on his behalf 🙂

My pleasure. When I chose the photo I’m always a tad anxious that it won’t spark the readers. But since I haven’t yet had a nil-result, I guess there are always a few inspired no matter my choice.

Love it. It’s not so cold here. Met Office has threatened us with a week of HOT weather and thunderstorms. Fine, if I’m indoors, writing. But not the weather I want to walk in, so I’m not sure if the camera will go walkies this coming week. 🙂
