Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN

Here’s how it works:

Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE

Here are some suggestions:

  • An answering photo
  • A cartoon
  • A joke
  • A caption
  • An anecdote
  • A short story (flash fiction)
  • A poem
  • A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
  • An essay
  • A song—the lyrics or the performance

You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:

  • Your creative offering is indeed yours
  • Your writing is kept to 150 words or less

If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
If you tag it #CCC others should be able to find it by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)

    At election time a bus full of politicians has an accident and crashes into a cornfield. When the ambulance and police arrived they noticed that the bus was empty and there’s were no signs of the passengers. A farmer with his tractor was also there so they asked him what happened to all the politicians. The farmer said he buried them. The police officer asked, “They were all dead then?” The farmer said, “Well, some of them said they were alive but you can’t believe anything a politician says can you?”

    I must admit I was surprised to see a tractor. Having had the opportunity to read the previous posts has made the tractor more lovable to me. We’ll see. Thanks for the challenge 😊

    A rare photo of a Red-faced Field-Furrower in its natural Norfolk habitat. Norfolk is known for these beasts who are not only seen to leave tell-tale groves in the ground, but have been known to snarl traffic for miles at a time.

      Are all Massey-Fergusons red? I’m afriad I didn’t check out it’s make. And I could have dones so since I had to squeeze between it and an overgrowth of nettles.

      So I’ve checked it out and, yes, it is indeed a massey ferguson. In close-up, there’s the logo

        Well now IU’ve seen the logo, it jumps out at me, yet I went back to the original, unprocessed, photo to find it. Now I can’t look without seeing.
        And a memory comes whixxing back at me, just at the name. A hugh glass-front Massey-Ferguson showroom on Castle Hill in Norwich. Between castle and showroom was the old cattle market where every Saturday the ripe smells of the rural realms whafted around, and Christmas and Easter, the fair set up its rides. All gone now, swallowed by a shopping mall and multistory carpark, the cattle market driven out of town.
        So, thanks for stirring that memory

        🙂 I was first introduced to MF’s at tractor pulls. My parents would take me to them once in a while, and since we were backwoods, most of the pulls were with ordinary farm equipment.

        Ironically, they took me to tractor pulls *mostly* to make my grandfather, who liked horses and horse pulls, upset.
