Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN
Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
If you tag it #CCC others should be able to find it by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN.
OH! Another beauty 😊

Is, isn’t it. Every time I look at this photo it’s like … magical.

It is magical. I’d love to be there walking down that path. The green’s are so green! Brings back the smell of a new mown lawn for me. Now tell me you trod it everyday. I’d be so jealous.

No, not every day. I was researching the history of the village, and I wanted supporting shots. So several times across a year I walked here. From parish bound to parish bound, north to south, south to north, east to west and west to east, and along the lines.
This shot is from the north, walking south, but not yet into the parish. It’s so green. THe entire parish is green. And crisscrossed by footpaths and greenlanes.

Ok that’s that! I’ll may have to call you Nancy. Unless you object to Nancy’s character of course. My intrepid adventurer. Seeker of knowledge. I’m still extremely jealous. You are officially Nancy in my book (should there be a book lol) 😊

Okay, I accept my alter ego’s name is Nancy.

Deal! Nancy became Nancy from your prompts so it only makes sense. I’ll make a note in the preface 😊👍🌼

Hello Crispina, here is my thought this week, I just read the above comments and I’m intrigued that you see the scene as magical as I wrote a piece sort of like that, only different, of course

Here’s mine. I wrote the story and then realized it is over 150 words. Sorry about that, hope it’s okay.

I do have fun with your challenges, I just like to follow the rules 🙂

Yea, well, they’re there for a reason. If everyone submitted 500 words, I’d never have time to read them all. And if folks merely swiped pieces they’d seen elsewhere. there’d be risk of copyright, and it wouldn’t be encouraging their own creativity. But otherwise, it’s fully open. 🙂

Yea, weather hasn’t been kind to some parts of the world. Though here in East Anglia (UK) we are definitely into spring, yet some days are cold as winter.

I thank you, Violet. And have my feet walked … oh yes, many times. Though May and June are, without doubt, the best time of year.

So long as it’s your own original work, and it doesn’t exceed 150, anything is permissable. Though it should, preferably, be fun.
