Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN
Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
If you tag it #CCC others should be able to find it by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN.
Details of the photo are given, if relevant, below this line
Wash Lane, Saxlingham, Norfolk. Why is it called Wash Lane? I’ll tell you tomorrow.
Oooo. a lovely path less traveled… Can’t wait to hear why its called Wash Lane..

You must wait till tomorrow. Though I will tell you, many villages in its vicinity also have landes named ‘Wash’.

I’ve got my response ready, but i have to wait till Sunday to post. This has been a full week.. And who knows I might change my mind after I learn about washes…..

Yea, you might. But regardless, I look forward to Sunday. 🙂

Why do we have to “wait till tomorrow”? You do have a way of making people (moi) curious. Do you mean others like Wash Street? Wash Avenue? Wash Grove? I’m getting Ansi (spell) now 😏😊

Because my answer is worked into my take on this photo-prompt and I always post that on Thursday to allow others, who’ve not seen the photo before, to get their heads around it. And no, I mean there are other villages who have a Wash Lane. I don’t mean to up your curiosity, or to annoy you. My apologies if I have done so.

You could, probably, never annoy me LOL And upping my curiousity is a good thing 😊

In which case. I shan’t email you the answer. Really, it’s quite mundane. It’s not where the village women washed their linens in days of old. Which was my daughter’s jokey answer when we saw it on the map.

oic ok one less e-mail. btw my Yahoo mail is thinking everything is spam. I have a new name for it. Spam-A-Lot I’ve missed comments because I’ve been forgetting to check the Spam folder. Just an FYI.

Happens to me too, at times. Periodically I check the spam folders. And thanks for the reminder: this is now due. 🙂

I could email you the answer if you really can’t wait.

Though I love getting e-mails I can wait on this. It makes things more interesting. But thanks for the offer 😊🌼

The first time I encountered it, it was running calf-deep in crystal-clear water. I ended up with wet feet that day, for we had to cross it. Somehow.
