Silvered Lady in the sky
You affect my moods
I know not why
But when you’re full I’m so alive
Yet when you’re new
I have to strive
To change my world from blue

Your poetry so simply and plainly puts emotions and stories which are not! A pleasure to read.

Unfortunately, as you known, inspiration can’t be conjured up at will, and at the moment my head is into writing a new story (posting in the New Year)

Lovely language, Crispina. You conjure such lovely images.

Thanks. As I’ve said before, inspiration tends to call while I’m doing the dishes! I suppose it’s a freed mind.

I find a lot of free association or looking at the details of a thing inspires. I see a fly battering against the window, I imagine bees and wasps – swarms of insects doing the same -bodies building up, and before I know it, I’m writing a flash fiction piece about an obsessive entomologist who’s turning into an insect. Ah, how the mind spins 🙂

It’s those things that often inspire a poem (or silly rhyme). Indeed, today, Sammi’s challenge has grabbed me. My ‘offering’ (I refuse to call it a poem) is scheduled for 5:00pm GMT

This is beautiful. I think far too scientific… when I think about the moon and mood I think hormones, and light and… LOL I could learn from you how to look at things.

Oh, and now I feel like the ‘wise old woman’. But that’s okay; in fact, it’s an honour. And wisdom isn’t found without a certain advance in age.

I don’t think we’re far apart, age-wise. Learning new things always is great, and new ways to look at things. It took me ages to get over the ‘lecture’ stage in my writing. 😉

I channel that impulse into writing history . . . which I have first researched. It’s only for the blog, but oh-so-satisfying.
