Last year I remarked of how early the spring flowers. Bluebells, may blossom, wild apple, were all in full flower before March was out. This might happen in the Southern Counties, but not in the eastern reaches of East Anglia. And this year it didn’t! In fact, this year it was 26th April and still the apples and pears and their kin were tight-budded. But I did find these gems for your enjoyment.
Beautiful!

I had prepped the photos for use in a slideshow for my laptop’s desktop. But every day looking at them, I had to share them.

Really lovely. Our apple and cherry trees are just over flowering and what a joy the blossom was! The apple in particular smelt amazing. Gorgeous images Crispina

We were much earlier last year, by an entire month. But this year everything is delayed by that nasty beastie that blew in from the east. And these photos were taken within 10 miles of the coast. I’m guessing nature might now rush to catch up!

Let’s hope so! It was a long, chill winter and early spring now finally things are stirring and it’s just wonderful

Oh, I agree. Right now the weather, the flowers, the lambs, all is fantastic. Makes you want to be out, not tied to computer, writing.

These are so beautiful. I love apple blossoms. Every blossom on a tree, in fact. I was fascinated as a child already that something so fragile could come out of something as sturdy as wood.

Since buying my present camera I have gone crazy photographing flowers. But I’ve found no other blossom as photogenic as the apple. Although the wild rose runs a close second.

Indeed, since a child equipped with a set of Flower Fairy books, trying to name all the plants in the woods and the wayside.
