A walk in an English country wood oughtn’t produce too many surprises (an unexpected early bloom, perhaps, or some delicate plant that’s really rare . . .) But this is what I found when I took a woodland walk at North Burlingham, east of Norwich, Easter weekend.

It was actually a pine tree (don’t ask me what sort). I don’t know the origin of the painted post. There were several strategically placed around the woods. I assume the work of a local artist. No doubt at one time there was a sign to explain, but if so the vandals had had it away.
Oh, and sorry for delay in responding . . . laptop died! Now sorted with a very attractive purple HP!

What a cool artistic project, to leave interesting things for people to find in the woods. Sorry to hear about your computer problems, eek! Glad you got them sorted. 🙂

That’s what we thought. Shame there was no info about the artist, though. As to the IT problem . . .guess what I shall be doing for the next couple of days! Luckily, everything was saved (I think).

I hope everything was indeed saved; it’s so heart-wrenching when a computer dies like that! And yes, it does take quite a while to get everything back into order with the new machine. Good luck getting all your programs and settings and such worked out!
