Because I know how confusing it can be to follow the talk when its full of weird and unfamiliar placenames (after all, I live in East Anglia), I have provided a map.
If you think there’s something vaguely familiar in it . . . perhaps reminiscent of parts of Western Europe? That’s because, as Julia Cannings discovered in Priory Project, the Asars, Alsime et al occupy space parallel to ours.
However, you might notice the odd discrepancy. In defence I’ll say of erosion and accretion. They’re natural processes. Though I might have taken it a little too far!
So that’s where grits come from?
